My Story...
Dr. Mark O'Reilly graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2001. His early career included placements at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and St George Hospital in Sydney. After spending a year in the UK, Mark returned to Sydney to focus on Oncology and Palliative Care before finding his ideal path in General Practice and Sexual Health. He completed his GP training at 407 Doctors and subsequently joined East Sydney Doctors. In 2009, he furthered his expertise with a Master’s in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University.
In 2010, Mark moved to Melbourne, where he practiced at Prahran Market Clinic for over 12 years, qualifying as a Sexual Health Physician and serving as clinic director for part of his tenure. In 2023, he expanded his leadership as co-director at Taylor Square Private Clinic, East Sydney & Bondi Road Doctors.
Mark is a clinical advisor with ASHM Health and a member of the Australian HIV antiretroviral guidelines committee. He recently completed a six-year term on the RACP Sexual Health Training committee. Mark regularly participates in HIV conferences and advisory boards and is passionate about medical education, frequently organizing and presenting at professional events and training both medical students and GPs in HIV medicine.
His current medical interests include HIV, viral hepatitis, STI treatment and prevention, HIV clinical trials, and the management of chronic health conditions.
