My Story...
Dr Michael Hand graduated from Monash in 1987 trained at Geelong Hospital and is a General Practitioner. He initially worked extensively in Victoria with frequent visits to rural districts and then the remotest areas of Australia. He has worked at major hospitals in London, on an oil barge, at Christmas Island and extensively on Cruise ships as Ships Physician. He has been in Sydney for the past 10 years.
He is a Fellow of both RACGP and ACRRM (Australian College of Remote and Rural Medicine). He has a Diploma of Obstetrics (RANZCOG) and is a S100 Prescriber (for HIV and PrEP). He has been an examiner for RACGP, an educator for ACRRM, a supervisor of GP registrars and a clinical teacher of UNSW medical students.
Michael has special interests in STI/HIV/PrEP , Implanon insertion/removal , Antenatal care, paediatrics, minor skin procedures or anything that comes along.
Dr Michael Hand’s usual days at the clinic are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
